For those of you who are like myself and have been waiting for the documentary “DMT: The Spirit Molecule” to be released, there is some great news. Apparently the film makers have had the much needed funds come in and were able to complete the film. That’s right its done! Currently they are doing screenings of the film and have provided some great updates on their website over at http://thespiritmolecule.com/ . I highly recommend that you check out their blog to see some cool pictures from their visits around the world while they were shooting the film.
If anyone gets information on how to find out how to view this film, please contact me.
In the last few weeks I have been working with meditative techniques through Buddhist practice to come up with better ways of becoming “super lucid” or obtaining the stage of what some consider OBE. The Buddhist call these stage of sleep one of the Extra-bodily States called “dream body” and have been practicing in order to obtain perfection of this state. At any rate I have had tremendous success.
Meditation as stated before seems to be really about paying attention. The type of meditation that I use is paying attention to my breath out. During my lucid stage where I start to feel the strong vibrations that come from being aware and obtaining my dream body, the first thing I notice is my breathing changes. I tend to focus on this as a key point to knowing that I am able to “jump out” of my body.
Its not to say that everyone should look into meditation for obtaining lucidity in their dreams, but R also reports that he would also have the same effects when he would practice the meditation. I will continue to explore this rout as I try to learn better skills in obtaining release.
In the last few weeks I have also started to read two great books. One book is called “The Antipodes of The Mind” where the writer Dr. Benny Shanon talks about his uses of Ayahuasca and conducts the first ever psychological study of the drink. So far it has been a great book. The other book is called “Failed God” written by John A. Rush Ph.D and his also turning out to be a great book. Failed God is about the history of human religious experiences and how ultimately religion has turned from an experiences to a society based control modified for its best results. Both books have become a great addition to my collection of powerful books and I hope to write more about them in the future as I explore each one. During thanksgiving break I will be writing up a post about “The Antipodes of The Mind” in hopes to explore some of the areas that the writer touched on as well as my own ideas.
2C-B-FLY is a psychedelic phenethylamine of the 2C family has recently been the target of some poor qualities. Apparently the owner of Haupt-RC had added 2C-B-FLY as a new product to its assortment on Monday September 28th and the operator of the company died from consuming it on Saturday October 3rd. Between those dates Haupt-RC has sent out an unknown number of orders around the world.
Some of Haupt-RC’s customers have been warned and thereby may have been saved from fatal ingestion. Unfortunately others have not been reached in time and have been hospitalized and died.
Unconfirmed sources have stated that this 2C-B-FLY was sourced from a Chinese producer. This Chinese producer may be selling to other Research Chemical vendors. It was later said that it was not a Chinese vender that was where the 2C-B-FLY was received, and so it is urged to be careful in all situations.
With all drugs it shouldn’t be needed to be said that there should be caution when consuming anything, as there is always flaws.

Just wanted to tell everyone to have a happy 4th. I remember last year at this time I was in Rhoad Island dealing with a few experiences of sleep paralysis and really started to research into the reasons why we have these types of issues along with why we dream. It was the fuel to the fire that has been burning to keep this site alive and me reading the endless amount of information out there about the subject. I hope you have fun with you families and engage in some nice stress relieving activates that are well due to everyone and again, happy 4th to those who celebrate.
I just wanted to welcome everyone to the new site. Should look a lot better and flow better too with the design. If you have any suggestions for links or want to be affiliated with this site, feel free to e-mail me at admin@lucidconsciousness.com and I will get back to you.
Again, thanks for coming by and happy dreaming!

Well summer has officially started for me and I have been doing a lot of running around trying to figure out how to relax some. I have started to go through some of my old books and read some of the notes produced by those authors to find some good information for references to read up and post about. Until I get a good grasp on that information I wanted to start to post some other information that I think is supporting to sleep and our conscious mind.
Psychedelic use has been around as long as humans have been, maybe even before as some animals have been shown to take part in eating plant matter and “tripping” out after doing so. As I wrote many times before, I think it’s important to understand the use of psychedelics and the possible help it may produce into the changes of our consciousness, let that be sleep or other. If you haven’t read my recent post with the information I found for my paper then you may not see why psychedelics are important in sleep, but if you took the time to read it you would find that supporting evidence has allowed us to understand that some type of endogenous psychedelic may be the whole cause for our dreaming. At any rate, there have been countless reports of psychedelic like dreams and vice versa. I still do believe that there is still a good amount of useless information found in the psychedelic experiences but enough quality information in understanding the mind, that it shouldn’t be overlooked.
One of my favorite podcasters Lorenzo Hagerty, has posted a number of great pod casts. Here is one of his recent podcasts.
Podcast 184 - “The Boundaries of the Human Mind”
http://www.matrixmasters.net/blogs/
Here are the notes from the podcast:
“What Damasio is showing is that people who, in the lab, get a huge amount of cognitive stimulus all the time start to have no access to the emotional part [of themselves] at all. They can’t store to it, and they can’t retrieve from it. They become what he calls emotionally neutral.”
“So if ANY crisis arises you have the wrong people [in charge], probably, because the things that put them there, and the constituencies that wanted them there, create a person who is incapable of handling a real crisis.”
“If you want a future, you have to take charge of your own thoughts.”

R and I started this blog in order to help other people but after a good 6 months of posting R and I have become very busy with school/work and have little time to gather the information needed for new and informative posts. It is my goal with this blog to have information posted at least 3 times a week with questions, answers, and studies that could help others to gain a better understanding of sleep and better sleep. Our view on how to approach this information is by supported research into the areas that are related to sleep and to exclude any type of information that may be highly speculative. If you notice, we also try to leave out words such as “proven” and “truth” and “fact” as science does neither of those things.
I am interested in a few individuals to help out with the blog that have a passion for those things posted above. I will also be continuing to post as I am currently but I would like to get some more knowledgeable individuals to join the group. If you are interested feel free to e-mail me at cyristvirus@gmail.com with some information about yourself, such as education level, years of experience in the sleep community, and why you would like to help out.
Thanks and stay alter for further posts about sleep.

For many of us, today is the start of spring break. Spring break is a time to release some stress and to regain that loss of rest that we have longed for since Christmas. In a time where many countries are experiencing economic troubles, it’s important to remember how badly stress can affect our lives.
Recently there has been a large increase of sleep lab activity and I would say that this is directly related to the stress that people have started to experience. Stress seems to be a major cause of disrupted sleep, and as we all know from research that sleep is very important in our lives. By sleep I don’t just mean lying down and falling asleep, but more all aspects of sleep, the proper REM and NREM phases and an adequate amount of time to feel rested. Stress itself can change our chemical makeup in our brains leading to depression and decreased amounts of serotonin levels and dynamically change our sleeping behavior.
This spring break I ask that everyone pay close attention to their stress levels and sleep behavior and see how much they change. I think that the majority of you will be able to see that they are very closely related. Even if you don’t get to have a break for this week, do your best to take some time off for yourself and get some better rest.
Also this week I will be posting quite a bit as I continue to do research on the aspects of histamines and narcolepsy which I both find very interesting. That information should be posted in the next few days. Also R and I are continue to work on getting a podcast of some sort that will go over a different topic of research every month. Information about that podcast will be posted later next week.
Have a good break and happy resting!
